Wilma Lucille Hood

July 17, 1939 – December 9, 2018

Wilma Lucille Hood, 79, of Crossville departed this life on December 9, 2018 at Cumberland House Hospice. She was born in Knoxville, TN, daughter of the late Ralph P. Drake and Hattie Heathery Drake. She was preceded in death by her husband, MSgt. Royal D. Hood and a sister, Flonnie Green, of Lenoir City, TN.

Wilma worked for several years as a sales associate at Big K and White Store of Crossville. Upon retirement, she enjoyed homemaking, gardening and her beloved dog.

She leaves behind her only child, a son, Jeffrey D. Hood also of Crossville and brothers, Jim and Pat Drake of Charleston, SC and Lloyd and Saundra Drake of Paducah, KY, and several wonderful nieces and nephews. Also grieving her loss is Kim Yap Boston and husband Mike of Cookeville, TN and son Mitchell and Cortney Boston of Havelock, NC, whom she loved as dearly as any member of her family.

Service will be held at Hood Funeral Home on Saturday, December 15 at 12:00noon with visitation from 11:00am-12:00noon prior to the service. Burial will be afterwards in the Allardt Cemetery in Allardt, TN.
