WILBURN BURKETT EVANS age 89 of Spring City, TN passed away February 15, 2022. He was born January 10, 1933, in Crossville, TN the son of W. Beecher and Lena Smith Evans. He was retired from TVA and continued to work for the Rhea County School System. He was a United States Army veteran and was also a member of Spring City Church of Christ. He was a huge Nascar fan and loved dirt track racing.

He is survived by his sons- Rick Evans and his wife Janice of Crossville, TN and Randall H. Evans also of Crossville, TN, daughters- Rhonda Evans of Spring City, TN, Pam Barnwell and her husband Marc of Crossville, TN, stepson- Darrell Reed and his wife Jessica and Ricky Reed and his wife Kathy all of Spring City, TN, stepdaughters- Karen White and her husband Larry of Soddy Daisey, TN and Pam Cox and her husband Larry of Grandview, TN, brothers- Beecher Evans of Spring City, TN sister- Louella Beale and her husband Harold of Ohio, grandchildren- Racheal Evans, Randall Evans and his wife Allison, Kellie Tucker and her husband David, Casey Barnwell, Markie Peters and her husband Kayce and Troy Davenport and his wife Casey and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife- Norma Evans and brother- Charles Evans.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 19, 2022, at 10am at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday February 18, 2022, from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harris Cemetery.
