VIRGINIA MAY HENDRICKSON DAVIS age 80 of Crossville, TN, left this world to be in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 17, 2019, her husband Bill G. Davis and her son Rocco Davis, along with her parents, Earl and Pearline Tapp Hendrickson and her brother Harold Hendrickson and her sister Edna McCullough who also preceded her.

Virginia loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Virginia spent 29 years of her life as a teaching assistant with the Cumberland County School System, sharing her time between Crossville Elementary and South Cumberland Elementary.

Virginia did not fear death, in fact she looked forward to the day she could go to heaven and walk the streets of gold with her husband and son. She spoke of that often. Therefore, we will not mourn but celebrate her death as she is where she longed to be. No more pain, no more sorrow.

She is survived by her grandson- Lance Davis of Dayton, TN, brother- Lloyd Hendrickson and his wife Phyllis of Kingston, TN, sister- Dora Smith and her husband Charles of Harriman, TN and Clara Kuster and her husband Steve of Kewanee, IL, a host of nieces and nephews and a very special nephew, Ernest Kerley and his wife Henrietta of Crossville, TN.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to her loving caregiver, MS. Sally Bolin of Crossville, TN and also to Hospice of Cumberland County.

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 19, 2019 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11am-1pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Music Cemetery.
