STEPHEN L. BARNES age 72 of Crossville, TN passed away April 16, 2023. He was born March 9, 1951, in Dayton, OH the son of Dolphus and Mary Turner Barnes. Steve was a drywall contractor for many years. He met and made many friends throughout the years and was loved by all who knew him. He and his wife Dixie were members of Plateau Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Dixie Barnes of Crossville, TN, brothers- David Barnes of Crossville, TN and Donald Barnes and his wife Diane of Chattanooga, TN and sister- Sharon Purdy and her husband David of Crossville, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister- Brynda Joyce Barnes.

Funeral services will be held Sunday April 23, 2023, at 5pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3pm-5pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
