SONNY LEWIS age 75 of Crossville, TN passed away May 16, 2019. He was born December 25, 1943 in Crossville, TN the son of Roy and Cora Hassler Lewis. He worked many years as a block mason and spent several years as a jailor before retiring form the county as an animal control officer. He was also a member of Stevens Gap Church of Christ. Sonny was a much loved man by his family and the community. He was always laughing, joking and making people laugh.

He is survived by his wife- Joanna Lewis of Crossville, TN, sons- Richard Lewis and his wife Vicki, Jesse Lewis and his wife Kelsey all of Crossville, TN, daughters, Laisa Volney and her husband Scott of Grafton, OH and Jodi Hassler and her husband David of Crossville, TN, sister- Carolyn Reynolds of Crossville, TN, special granddaughter- Kailey Lewis, grandchildren- Ashley Volney, Allison Volney, David Gwinn (Brooke), Patty Pastures, Kenneth Lewis (Annie) , Misti Brown (Justin), Nicole Hassler (Buck), Dusty Lewis (Sydney), Nevaeh Turner, Hannah Lewis, Haleah Lewis and Harper Lewis, great grandchildren- Nathan, Isaac, Brylee, Londyn, Emerie, Neyland, Gabe and Morgan, special family- Dicky Lewis, Robin Reynolds, Stacy Reed, David Gaskins and Bobby Houston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- Coy Lewis, sisters- Anna Mae Hedgecoth and Betty Jean Tollett and special nephews- Bobby Lewis and Tony Lewis.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 22, 2019 at 11am at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Linary Cemetery.
