Funeral Services for Walter "Seth" Smith, age 36, of Crossville, will be held on Saturday September 4th at 7:00 PM at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hood Funeral Home. Survivors include Mother Renee Smith, Father Matt Swearengen, Fiancee' Tabatha Lashelle Rector and their son to be Silas Reese Smith, Sisters Sydney Smith and Jenny Brown, Brothers Samuel Ryan Smith, Matt Swearengen, and Tyler Dannels, Special Nieces and Nephews Kinley and Larkin Dannels, Jaxon, Kolby and Ella Swearengen and Emry and Lucy Brown. Hood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Seth passed away on August 30th at the age of 36 in Crossville, TN.

Seth touched so many people in the short time we had with him. He not only had family but friends that became family and railroad co-workers that also became family, so many that it is impossible to list. He was the type of guy that would do anything for anyone at a moments notice. He will truly be missed so many people.  In lieu of flowers there is fund set up at One Bank in Crossville, TN for his son to be Silas (In Memorial of Seth Smith Fund), diapers can also be dropped off at the funeral home.
