SAMUEL EDWARD HOUSTON, age 66 of Crossville, TN, passed away at home on July 23, 2022.  He was born February 13, 1956, in Monterey, TN.  After serving our country in the United States Navy, he worked for 30 years as a phone service repairman before retiring.  He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and just spending time on his farm or riding mountain trails with his wife while to listening to Elvis.  He was a devoted husband and a beloved father and Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Houston of Crossville, TN;  daughters Sammi (Houston) Maifair and her husband, George, of Nashville, TN; Dena (Houston) Ballard and her husband, Ward, of Crossville, TN; and Julia Roberts of Livingston, TN; parents, Gary and Tommie Jean Roberson, of Monterey, TN; sister, Violet Wyatt, and her husband, Powell, of Monterey, TN; grandchildren, Zach, and his wife, Samantha; Macy, and her husband, Nate; Emily; Alexandra; and Luke; and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Macon, and Maverick.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Holly Buttram.
