Ruth
Sinard
Sep 16, 1956 — Oct 30, 2026
Ruth “Ruthie” Sinard Lindell, 70, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on October 30, 2026. Born on September 16, 1956, in Beverly, Kentucky, to her late parents Nora Lee Lawson and Albert Lawson, she was raised in the small Appalachian mountain community of Stoney Fork, Kentucky, which always held a special place in her heart.
Ruthie was a vibrant, hard-working woman who built a successful career in business management, publishing, sales and a small business owner. Her sharp mind and natural ability to connect with people shone through in everything she did professionally.
Beyond her work, Ruthie’s true joy was found in her hobbies and the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for the outdoors, spending hours working in her garden and beautiful flower beds. An avid fisher, she loved the peace of the water just as much as the thrill of a catch. Ruthie also loved bowling and competed for over 30 years in local leagues. She had an incredible eye for design, loving nothing more than thrifting for unique treasures and using them to decorate her home. Above all else, her favorite way to spend time was surrounded by her family, who meant the world to her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Lindell; and her son Travis Sinard.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristy Ott (Clarence Ott) of Crossville, TN, stepdaughter Lauren Lindell Dykes of Lake Mary, Florida, her brother, Robert
Lawson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and her sisters, Rosetta Rose, and Jacqueline Tomez, both of Morristown, Tennessee. She is also survived by her cherished
grandchildren: Jay Ott (Sarah Ott), Trevor Sinard, Bentley Threet, Asher Sinard, Adeline Sinard, and Anna Ott.
A celebration of Ruthie’s life will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville, Tennessee. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, Ruthie requested that donations be made in her honor to the Avalon Center, 196 10th St., Crossville, TN 38555.
