ROBERT F. MAXWELL age 78 of Crossville, TN passed away November 15, 2021. He was born October 23, 1943, in Granite City, IL the son of Finley and Evelyn Davis Maxwell. Robert graduated in 1961 from Granite City High School. In 1966, he received his bachelors from Stout State University in Menomonie, WS and his masters from Colorado State University in 1970. He married Jean Luschnig in 1967.

He taught Industrial Arts at Belleville Township High School and Granite City Senior High School. He was also Asst. Principal at Prather Jr. High in Granite City and Vocational Director at Granite City Community Unit #9 in Illinois. After his time in education, he worked as Training Director and Human Resources Manager at Granite City Steel Division of National Steel before retiring in 2001.

He served in many civic and community organizations, as he was a member of Rotary in Granite City, a fifty year member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, and the Ainad Shriners. He was also a member of the Royal Order of Jesters. He served on the school board in Granite City Community Unit #9, South Western Illinois College and the Edwardsville Township. After he and his wife relocated to Crossville in 2014 to The Gardens RV Community, they became members of Crossville United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Jean of Crossville, TN and was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Illinois, at a later date.
