RICHARD LOUIS BERNABEI age 80 of Crossville, TN passed away December 16, 2022. He was born February 2, 1942, in Spring Valley, IL, the son of Louis and Mildred Padgett Bernabei. He was retired after many years having owned and operated Bernabei Construction. He and his wife Shirley were members of St. Alphonsus Catholic church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Bernabei of Crossville, TN, children- Kelly Hassler and her husband Wade, Mark Bernabei and his wife Darci and Missy Smith and her husband Jerry, grandchildren- Chris Hassler and his wife Tara, Niki Massey and her husband Ryan, Maggie Moss and her husband Andy, Maddie Bernabei, Mackenzie Smith and Garrett Smith and great grandchildren- Kiera and Mila Hassler, Mersadies, Jackson, Kinsley and Kimber Massey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter- Haley Smith.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday December 21, 2022, at 11am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9am-11am prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Claysville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully asked that donations be made to the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Building Fund, 151 St. Alphonsus Way, Crossville, TN, 38555.
