Peggy Dean Smith age 81 of Crossville, TN passed away July 30, 2018. She was born October 3, 1936 in Smithville, TN the daughter of Willie Ross and Autie Irene Todd Durham. She worked many years as beautician and a cosmetology instructor and was also a member of Main St. Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband- Horace "Eugene" Smith of Crossville, TN, sons- Michael Gene Smith and his wife Joella of Cookeville, TN and William Lawrence Hamby and his wife Janet also of Cookeville, TN, daughters- Terri Peek and her husband Joseph "Tony" of Cookeville, TN and Lisa Smith Pugh of Crossville, TN, sister- Martha Jane Wells of Crossville, TN, grandchildren- Eric Smith, Rachael Smith, Kimberly Brasswell, Marc Peek and his fiance Emily McCarrall, Marci Peek, David Peek and his wife Courtney, Corey Hamby, Justin Hamby, Hannah Hamby, Wesley Eldridge and his wife Brittany, Bree Eldridge and Nathaniel Eldridge and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Clifford Hamby.

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 2, 2018 at 7pm from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7pm prior to the service at Hood Funeral Home. Graveside Committal will be Friday August 3, 2018 at 1pm at Green Acres Memory Gardens.
