Nicholas
Geragotelis
d. May 2, 2025
On May 2nd, 2025 Nicholas William Geragotelis, 21, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in Nashville, TN while attending Belmont University. Nicholas was born in Boston, MA on January 9th, 2004, and raised in Sharon, MA. From a young age he had a passion for music. His ability to hear a song one time then replay it on a keyboard, without any formal training, was amazing. As a child, he would often break out into song and fill the house with beautiful music. His creativity branched out into making Lego stop action movies and writing Star Wars and Marvel comics. He also loved hiking in Borderland State Park where he would create new trails and lead us on adventures, all the while narrating the journey as if he were an explorer. As a teenager, he concentrated on playing guitar, both electric and acoustic. He was in a band while at high school and often helped set up and run the sound equipment at events as a member of Radio Club.
His passion for music led him to Belmont University in Nashville, where he majored in Audio Engineering Technology and minored in Physics. He was an excellent student and maintained a 3.8 GPA. He especially enjoyed the mixing and production of music. He loved the Tennessee climate, freedoms and lifestyle, and knew he wanted to stay in Tennessee after graduation. His studies included history and theology and he enjoyed discussing all topics to broaden his knowledge. He had campus jobs at the School of Music and R.E.M. Studios and he worked on the nationally televised production of Christmas at Belmont. He loved hiking in Cumberland Mountain State Park or just sitting on the back deck playing guitar.
Nicholas had just completed his Junior year at Belmont at the time of his passing. He is survived by his parents Paul and Kelly Geragotelis of Crossville and his older brother Alexander of Williamsburg, VA as well as countless family and friends who love him and miss him greatly. We will forever miss his beautiful smile and kind soul. Go rest high on that mountain son, your work on earth is done.
