NELSON E. HOUSTON age 96 of Crossville, TN passed away March 5, 2018. He was born February 6, 1922 in Crossville, TN the son of Fred and Maude Croft Houston. He was retired as a water well contractor and was also a United States Navy veteran having served during WWII. He was of the protestant faith. He loved to fish and enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his sons- Bobby Houston and his wife Peggy, Dale Houston and his wife Cheryl and Doyle Houston, daughters- Marsha Wyatt and her husband Rama, Doris O'Daniel and her husband Cecil and Kay Matthews and her husband Jack, grandchildren- Tim, Kyle and Jake Houston, Jeremy and Jon Cook, Luke Matthews, Angela Shadden, Missy Hedgecoth and Jodi Duke, several great grandchildren and brother- John Houston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Christine Houston, sons- Wade and Don Houston, brothers- Noah, Charles (Dod) and Nolen Houston and sisters- Naomi Hall and Noba Norris.

Funeral services will be held Thursday March 8, 2018 at 1pm from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home with burial in Linary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11am-1pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family has asked in lieu flowers, donations be made to the Cumberland House Hospice.
