LUTHER “LUKE” HENRY BOWMAN age 75 of Crossville, TN passed away September 10, 2026. He was born February 13, 1951 in Crossville, TN the son of Edward Sr. and Cecil Barnwell Bowman. He was retired after more than 21 years as a correctional officer at the Bledsoe County Correctional Facility. He also attended Bowman Baptist Church. Luke was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also had a great love of classic cars and was always up for a good trade on guns, boats and vehicles. He made friends where ever he went and never met a stranger. When you saw him, he always had a good story to share. But Luke’s greatest love was for his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Connie Bowman of Crossville, TN, daughters- Rebecca Reagan and her husband Randall of Crossville, TN and Holly Garrison and her husband Rick of Cookeville, TN, brother- Tony Bowman of Crossville, TN, grandchildren- Anthony and wife Taylor, Harlee and husband Justin, Dustin, Jerren, Aspyen and Darren and wife Lindsey, great grandchildren- Octayvia, Anthony III, Beau, Delilah, Daxxon, Delainee, Darlah, Rowen, Jake and Ziah and a host of cousins and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- Edward Bowman Jr and sisters- Judy Hunnicutt, Delores Cordell and Regina Bowman.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday September 14, 2026 from 4pm-7pm at Hood Funeral Home.

On Saturday September 19, 2026 a Celebration of Life will also be held at the Cumberland Mountain State Park Pavilion.
