LAWRENCE "EDDIE" COX JR. age 72 of Crossville, TN passed away August 11, 2018. He was born November 6, 1945 in Cumberland County, TN the son of Lawrence Edward Sr. and Pauline Neal Cox. He was retired from the railroad construction industry and actually owned and maintained a huge section of railway. He was a member of Grace Community Church. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge 2751, Shriners and the Scottish Rite. He loved walking horses and served as ringmaster in many horse shows. He loved people and traveling, referring to himself and Debbie as "snowbirds".

He is survived by his wife- Debbie Cox of Crossville, TN, mother- Pauline Cox of Crossville, TN, children- Casey Cox and his wife Laura, Penny Barnes and Her husband Leon and Tony Cox and his wife Amanda all of Crossville, TN, brother- Edgar Cox and his wife Joyce of Crossville, TN, sister- Linda Lowe and her husband Joe of Crossville, TN, grandchildren- Austin Davenport, Kendra Wilson, Kirsten Teeple, Kobe Cox, Conner Cox, Jodi Cox, James Miller and Spencer Cox and great grandchildren- Jaden Cox, Kyle Cox, Whitlee Wilson, Callee Wilson, Beau Davenport, Harper Davenport and Piper Davenport.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Jackie Cox.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 14, 2018 at 7pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Graveside Committal services will be held Wednesday August 15, 2018 at 11am at Green Acres Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully  asked that donations be made to Hospice of Cumberland County.
