LANA RUTH HENSLEY age 85 of Lebanon, TN formerly of Crossville passed away February 15, 2021. She was born August 2, 1935 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Edward A. and Gladys M. Poole Laffrey. She was a kind and loving Christian lady who loved her family deeply. She enjoyed gardening and growing roses. She also liked to spend time reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of fifty six years, Hershel Hensley of Lebanon, TN, sons- David Purdy and his wife Sharon, T.J. Purdy and his wife Debbie, and Steven Hensley and his wife Dot all of Crossville and Jeff Hensley and his wife Paula of Byrdstown, TN, daughter- Bonnie Stark and her husband Rick of Lebanon, TN, brother- Frederick Laffrey of Roseville, MI, fourteen grandchildren and thirty four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son- Tommy Purdy, granddaughters- Rebecca Hensley and Shayna Perry,great grandsons- Johnathan Hensley and Hayden Wilson, brothers- Edward Laffrey, George Laffrey and Eldon Laffrey and sister- Edna Kunna.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 23, 2021 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11am-1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Creston Cemetery.
