Johnny Hale, 73, of Grassy Cove/Crossville, Tennessee, son of John R. (Bob) Hale, and I.
Jean Hale (deceased), passed away March 1, 2024 at Cumberland Hospice House.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Kemmer Hale, his sister, Kathy Hale, niece
Tammy Daugherty (Matt), niece Donna Hyder (Kenny), several great-nieces and a great-great
nephew, plus many dear friends who were so faithful to visit or call during Johnny's extended
illness. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann H. Isham.
Johnny was a well-known and highly respected motorcycle mechanic, working on motorcycles
since he was in high school until he retired in 2014. He was also known for his fishing, hunting,
and cooking.
He and his wife Martha, enjoyed working and serving in United Methodist Churches up until
the last few years. He was a member of the Grassy Cove United Methodist Church since 1976.
Funeral services will be held at the Grassy Cove Methodist Church, Monday, March 4th, at
2:00 pm with burial to follow in the Grassy Cove Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2
hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grassy Cove
Methodist Cemetery Fund, 806 Ford Lane, Crossville, TN 38555 or your favorite charity.
