John LeRoy Karter age 79 of Fairfield Glade, TN passed away March 18, 2021. He was born June 23, 1941 in Sheffield, AL the son of John H. and Marie McPherson Karter. He was retired from Met Life as an insurance agent and was also a United State Navy veteran. He enjoyed reading and working out and loved to travel, but most special of all, John loved to help others.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years- Jeri Karter of Fairfield Glade, TN, son- Michael Karter of Fairfield Glade, TN, brother- Larry Karter and his wife Dee of Knoxville, TN, sisters- Donna Barker and her husband Joe of Dandridge, TN, Linda Cummins and her husband Butch and Brenda Irwin all of Knoxville, TN and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
