JOANNE PUGLIESE age 67 of Fairfield Glade, TN passed away March 10, 2023. She was born October 6, 1955 in Kingston, NY the daughter of Edgar P. Jr. and Thelma M. Robinson Elliott. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially hosting street parties. Cooking and being hostess to family meals and holidays was something she looked forward to. She loved being at the pool, going on cruises and to casinos. She truly enjoyed playing cards with her cousin Barbara Kracht, going on family vacations and camping. She was also a big fan of 60's oldies music. She was a bus driver for over seventeen years with Ethan Allen Bus Company and was also a member for over 30 years at Fair St. Reformed Church in Kingston, where she served as deacon. She loved fishing, swimming and trips to North Lake. She was a loving wife, mother and nanny, never missing a single sporting event of the three girls.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 48 years– Joseph Pugliese of Fairfield Glade, TN, beloved fur baby Mikey, daughters- Heather Taylor and her husband Ron and Jodi Subeh and her husband Jeffrey all of Kerhonkson, NY, grandchildren- Jeffrey Subeh, Savannah, Lyllian and Kylie Renfrow and Brenna and Lacy Coddington, one great grandchild- Brantley Subeh, sister- Sharon Bunce of Kingston, NY, niece- Denise Nahmias, who was like another daughter to Joanne, her husband Bob, and their children- Ayla and Braiden Nahmias of West Port, CT, brother-in-law- Sonny Bunce of Ocala, FL, sister-in-law- Mary Forte of Crossville, TN, brother-in-law- Gary Pugliese of Kingston, NY, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who were there to support Joanne through every step of her journey. A special mention must be made of a very dear nephew, Paul Michael Forte. Aunt Joanne sends you a kiss on the chin, Paul.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law- Mike "Bo" and Ada "Cook" Pugliese, along with her brother-in-law- Michael Pugliese Jr.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday March 16, 2023 at 11:30am at Hood Funeral Home, with visitation to be held from 10:00am-11:30am prior to the service at the funeral home. The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Lung Association, National Direct Response, PO Box 756, Osceloa, WI, 54020-0756.
A service in NY will follow at Joseph V. Leahy's Funeral Home on March 25, 2023.
