Obituary

JAMES ROBERT LEWIS age 71 of Crossville, TN, went to be with the Lord, September 18, 2021. He was born September 12, 1950, in Nashville, TN the son of Willis and Laura Causey Lewis. He graduated from David Lipscomb High School. While in Nashville, he went to work for Big K. When they were bought out by Walmart, he moved to Crossville and continued working for Walmart for over 30 years.

Jim enjoyed going to the Nine Mile Bluegrass Festival with his special friends, the Hartley's. He loved taking pictures and he also loved all animals, especially dogs, cats, birds and fish.

Jim was a member of Homestead Baptist Church. His pastor made a very profound statement concerning Jim, that needs to be shared with others, "He makes you wonder who is really slow and who isn't. The world could learn a lot from James and so can the church".

He is survived by his sisters- Christine Josey of Cincinnati, OH, Virginia Jacobson (Rolf) of St. Cloud, MN and Barbara Hackett (David) of Nolensville, TN, niece and nephews- Katie Jacobson (Chris Danford) of McMinnville, OR, Brian Jacobson (Lindsey) of St. Paul, MN, Edwin Josey (Grace) of Goodlettsville, TN and Marshall Amis (Madalyn) of Chapel Hill, TN and aunts- Sarah Buchanan and Beulah Moorman of Danville, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Grave side services will be held Wednesday September 29, 2021, at 1pm at Green Acres Memory Gardens. The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Willis and Laura Lewis Senior Assistance Fund at Homestead Baptist Church.
