JAMES MAXWELL age 85 of Crossville, TN passed away March 13, 2023. He was born September 3, 1937 in Crossville, TN the son of Wesley and Mary Bockman Maxwell. He was retired from the school system as a bus driver and was also a United States veteran having served our country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed working in the rock quarries and digging all the different stone in our area.

He is survived by his wife-Laura Maxwell of Crossville, TN, children- Billy Ritzman of Crossville, Donna maxwell of Crossville, Debbe Medley and her husband Mark and Sarah Hale all of Pikeville, TN and Gail Smith of North Carolina, brother- Stanley Maxwell of Crossville and grandchildren- Charles Maxwell and Justin Maxwell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons- Charles R. and Michael D. Maxwell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday March 16, 2023 at 3pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 15, 2023 from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Big Lick Cemetery.
