JAMES ERIC MATHES age 50 of Crossville, TN passed away April 4, 2021. He was born May 19, 1970 in Elyria, OH the son of Glenn R. and Anna M. Cook Mathes.

Jimbo was a simple man who loved the outdoors. He had a free spirit and a heart of gold. He was a jack of all trades and there was little he could not do. He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by his sons- James Mathes (Sheena) of Knoxville, TN and Dominic Bodiford of Knoxville, TN, daughters- Jennifer Mathes (Brad) of Crossville, TN, Cadee Lowe (Chris) of Crossville, TN, Larissa Todd (Mickey) of Westel, TN, Bailey Mathes (John) of Crossville, TN and Madison Mathes (Kevin) of Crossville, TN, brothers- Michael Mathes Sr. (Tammy) and Glenn Mathes (Michelle) all of Ohio, sister- Donna Roberts (Jeff) of Florida and grandchildren- Caleb, Haleigh, Bryleigh, Jaelynn, Seiara, Brooklynn, Bryson, Brodee, Cason, Kendall, Melody, Mollie, Memphis, Easton, Jensen, Brantley, Natileigh and Huxley. He was dearly referred to as "Daddy Jim" by Alysia Cross, Alysin Cross and Lyndsie Cross.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter- Payton Lowe.

Funeral services will be held Friday April 9, 2021 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11am-1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pomona Cemetery.
