HERSHEL HENSLEY age 92 of Crossville, TN passed away September 28, 2022. He was born October 31, 1929, in jasper, TN the son of Raymond and Gladys Sparks Hensley. He was retired from Hickory Specialties where he worked as a transportation supervisor. He was also a United States Army veteran who served our country during Korea. He was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord and his family greatly.

He is survived by his children- Steven Hensley and his wife Dot of Crossville, TN, Jeff Hensley and his wife Paula of Byrdstown, TN, Bonnie Stark and her husband Rick of Lebanon, TN and David Purdy and his wife Sharon of Crossville, TN, fourteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lana, son- Tom Purdy, granddaughters- Rebecca Hensley and Shanna Perry and great grandsons- Jonathan Hensley and Hayden Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Monday October 3, 2022, at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11am-1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Creston Cemetery.
