HAROLD EUGENE HUGHES age 87 of Crossville, TN passed away February 20, 2018. He was born August 3, 1930 in Crossville, TN the son of Frank and Emma Farris Hughes. He was a United States Air Force veteran having served in Alaska during the Korean War. After his military service, he was sales manager at Matanuska Maid Dairy for several years, before returning to Crossville, where he and his late brother Oliver owned and operated Hughes Bros. Dept. Store. Later he owned and operated Harold's Restaurant which is now Boston's. He was also a lifetime member of the Anchorage Musicians Association and a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his daughters- Linda Davis and her husband Tim of Murfreesboro, TN, Pat Hyde and her husband Don of Gainesboro, TN and Sherry Fuchs and her husband Michael of Birmingham, AL and seven grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife- Joyce Hughes, brothers- Hollis, Dallas and Oliver and sisters- Ruby and Merle.

Funeral services will be held Sunday February 25, 2018 at 2pm Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be at Pomona Cemetery.
