GROVER CLEVELAND TRUE age 74 of Crossville, TN passed away August 29, 2025. He was born December 2, 1951 in Rockwood, TN the son of Walter Eugene and Lucy Edna Harris True. He worked many years in construction as a builder and later worked with the Knoxville News Sentinel. He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was a gifted singer who loved singing in the church choir in Ohio and also with a gospel quartet. He was a devoted Christian man who loved the Lord. He also loved people and would help anyone he could that was in need. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his sister- Patricia Matheson and her husband George of Crossville, TN, brother- Rickey True of Elyria, OH, grandchildren- Ashley Keel and her husband Cody, MacKenzie True and Alexis True, great grandchildren- Cedar Keel, Aspen Keel, Alder Keel and Arianna True, special nieces- Melinda Espinal and Alex, Stacy Suggs and Joy Degley, nephew- Devin True and many great nieces and nephews. He also leaves a very special friend, Lisa Braddam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons- Ron True and Marshall True, daughter- Krista Kay True and sister- Dorothy Edna Smith.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 3, 2025 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am-1pm at the Funeral Home. The burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
