Freeman Jarrell Swallows, 71, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and so many people who loved him dearly. He was born October 30, 1954 in Muddy Pond, TN the son of Clifford and Maggie petty Swallows.Freeman was truly one of a kind—full of life, personality, and love for his family. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He loved deeply and was loved by so many. Freeman lived to hunt. He spent countless hours raising, training, and hunting with his dogs, doing what he loved most. Hunting and his dogs were a huge part of his life, but his family always held the biggest place in his heart.

He leaves behind his two daughters, **Maggie Michele Evans and her husband, Mike Evans**, and **Shannon Lee and her husband, Jamie Lee**; grandchildren **Tanner Lee, Trevor Lee, and Salem Swallows**; great-grandchildren **Hadley Lee and Remington Lee**; brothers- Donald Swallows and his wife Wanda, Dale Swallows and Dwayne Swallows and his wife Rhonda all of Crossville, TN and sister- Joyce Cook and her husband David of Crossville, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson- Saben Swallows and brother- Ronald Swallows.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 4, 2026 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday September 3, 2026 from 6pm-8pm at Hood Funeral Home. The burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
