EMOGENE BOWMAN, age 96 of Crossville, TN passed away March 24, 2022. She was born June 21, 1925, in Crossville, TN the daughter of Noah and Eunice McDonald Green. She was retired from the Cumberland County School System where she worked many years in the cafeteria, as a wonderful cook, helping to feed the children in our county. After retiring, she continued to bless people with her awesome cooking skills at the 4-H camp in the summers, Hilltoppers, Cumberland Hunting Preserve and Crossville First United Methodist Church. She was a talented seamstress and gifted her family with many beautiful quilts. Working her flower gardens was another pastime she truly loved. She was also a member of Rinnie Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons- Shelby Bowman and his wife Pat, Charles Bowman and his wife Betty, Allen Bowman and his wife Anita and Ferlin Bowman and his wife Rita all of Crossville, TN, daughters- Judy Fern Hicks and her husband Mitchell and Jessie Padgett all of Crossville, TN, sisters- Joyce England and her husband Ray and Glenna Matthews and her husband Paul, eleven grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren, plus one on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- J.K. Bowman, sons- Sterlin Bowman and Shirley Bowman, grandchildren- Shelby "Keith" Bowman, Heather Bowman and Jordan Pugh and siblings- Zodell Bible, Lorene Hamby, Arlis Green, Doyle Green and Allard Green.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 3pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1pm-3pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rinnie Cemetery.
