EMMA REE SORRELS age 83 of Crossville, TN passed away December 11, 2019. She was born May 1, 1936 in Rutherfordton, NC the daughter of Gus and Dorcas Hughes Lawing. She was a homemaker and was also a faithful and active member of First United Methodist Church for more than 55 years.

She is survived by her husband- Norris Sorrels of Crossville, TN, son- Michael Sorrels and his spouse John Poston of Knoxville, TN, daughter- Kimberly Sorrels Becker and her spouse Todd of Corpus Christi, TX, grandchildren- Judith Becker Strzelec and her spouse Rob and Joseph Sorrels Becker and his spouse Jami and great grandchildren- Klara, Lukas, Emma and Alva.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings- Mary Sue, Billy Daniel, Bobo, Jim and Hugh and granddaughter- Elisabeth Grace Becker.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 17, 2019 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday December 16, 2019 from 5pm-7pm at Hood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Garden.
