EDWIN BEATY age 87 of Crossville, TN passed away August 28, 2026. He was born December 23, 1938 in Crossville, TN the son of John L. and Amy Sherrill Beaty. He was retired from the Cumberland County Road Dept. as a heavy equipment mechanic. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army. He and his wife Joann were members of Dripping Springs Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoors man who loved fishing, hunting and collecting guns. He was also a huge fan of John Deere tractors and loved working on them with his twin brother Dar Beaty. He was a simple man who loved his family and the Lord and passed down many life skills to those he loved.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years- Joann Beaty of Crossville, TN, son- Keith Beaty and his wife Tonya of Crossville, TN, brothers- Gene Beaty and his wife Norma and Gentry Beaty all of Crossville, TN, sisters- Danette Beaty and Glenda Kirkland both of Crossville, TN, granddaughter- Chelsi Whittaker and her husband Trey of Crossville, TN, grandson- Justin Pugh of Crossville, TN and great grandchildren- Maeleigh Rhea Whittaker, Georgia Cate Whittaker and Tensley Kay Pugh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother- Dar Beaty and sister- Brenda Wyatt.

Funeral services will be held Sunday August 30, 2026 at 2pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12noon-2pm two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
