EARL S. HARGIS JR. age 91 of Crossville, TN passed away October 20, 2018. He was born December 7, 1926 in Monterey, TN the son of Earl Sr. and Minnie Hall Hargis. He was retired from Texas Eastern Gas Transmissions as the Baytown District Manager in Texas. He was a United States Navy veteran having served during WWII and attended First Presbyterian Church in Crossville.

He is survived by his wife- Bea Hargis of Crossville, TN, son- Donald C. Hargis and his wife Gail of Brick, NJ, daughters- Carol Ann Hetherington and her husband John of Lincoln University, PA, Kathryn Hargis Queen and her husband Douglas of Richland, WA and Patricia Wilson of Fresno, TX, sisters- Jane Holt of Cordova, TN, Gloria Mitchell and her husband Tom of Glendale, AZ and Linda Hargis of Auburn Town, TN, grandchildren- Shannon, Michael, Christina, Bradley, Nicole, Kaitlyn, John Jr., Jessica, Melissa, Forrest and Anita and several great and great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife- Anita, daughter- Eris Greene and brother- Harry Hargis.

Memorial services will be held Thursday October 25, 2018 at 9am at Hood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Granville Community Cemetery in Jackson County, TN.
