DWANE M. DOBBS age 86 of Crossville, TN passed away September 21, 2020. He was born May 29, 1934 in Mauk, GA the son of Charlie V. Sr. and Sarah E. Parks Dobbs. He and his wife Florence owned and operated a uniform and sportswear business for many years and he retired working in sales in the furniture business He was also a veteran of the United States Army and Army Air Force where he was a link instructor based in Georgia. He was also a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Dwane was an extra class ham radio operator, which was a hobby he loved.
He is survived by his wife- Florence Dobbs of Crossville, TN, sons- Michael Dobbs and his wife Marilyn of Pebble Beach, CA and Victor Dobbs and his wife Carolyn of Moultrie, GA, daughters- Kathleen Jax of Winter Haven, FL and Kelly Joyner and her husband Cliff of Sandy, UT, brother- Larry Dobbs and his wife Melody of Lakeland, FL, sisters- Carolyn Pope of Valdosta, GA and Cornelia Cook and her husband Harold of GA, grandchildren-Amber Clawson and her husband James, Brianna Dobbs, Lance Greene, Christopher Dobbs and his wife Olaya, Kara Elrod and her husband Aaron, Will Jax, Nicholas Jax, Ben Jax, Lindsay Joyner and Griffin Joyner and great grandchildren- Will Clawson, Andrew Greene, Giana Greene, Emelia Dobbs, Lydia Dobbs, Bowen Elrod, Sebastian Arevalo and Teagan Jax.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers- Charlie Dobbs Jr., Henry Dobbs and James Dobbs and sister- Cathalene Taylor.
Celebration of Life services will be held Friday September 25, 2020 at 11am at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10am-11am at the funeral home.
