Dorothy BUUCK finished her earthly walk and went to her heavenly home on February 3, 2023 after a short illness.
Dorothy was born on July 2, 1926 to Herbert Meyer Sr. And Esther Marie Spiegel in Ft. Wayne, IN. At age 15, she caught the eye of a skinny redhead named LeRoy BUUCK. They married in August 1945. A year later they started a life as missionaries to China and the Philippines. In 1951 they returned to the United States with two children in tow. After returning, they lived in Auburn IN. While there they were blessed with two more children. Their journey then took them to Nashville, Chattanooga, Muncie, Ft. Wayne and finally to Fairfield Glade.
Dorothy was a loving wife and mother. She was always the consummate preacher's wife. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children. She loved to sew and work in her garden.
Dorothy is presided in depth by her parents and four brothers Herbert Jr., Stanley, Edward and Don. She was married to LeRoy BUUCK until his death in 2010.
She is survived by her children David (Debby) of Knoxville, Ann of Crossville, Janice (John) of Yulee, FL., Carol of Tucson, AZ, grandchildren Rev. Tonya Eza of Valatie, NY, Paul (Constance) Eza of Jacksonville FL, Audrey, Coen and Duncan Lovin of Knoxville,
and 1 great grandchild Vasilis Eza.
Celebration of life will be at Shepard of the Hills Lutheran Church on February 9, 2023 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shepard of the Hills Lutheran Church-Mission Outreach 1461 Sparta Highway Crossville, TN.
