DENNIS JAMES BUTTERFIELD age 76 of Crossville, TN passed away June 25, 2026. He was born August 8, 1949 in Downey, CA the son of Fred James and Margaret Petersen Butterfield. He worked many years with Dana Corporation as a quality control manager and also proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.

He is survived by his stepson- Donavan Garrett and his wife Heather of Jamestown, TN, son- Aaron Butterfield and his wife Jessica of Arkansas, special friend- Donna Coates of Reidsville, NC, grandchildren- Avery and Bentley, brother- Drew Butterfield of The Villages, FL and his beloved poodle, “Baby Girl”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife- Naomi Faye Butterfield.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday July 10, 2026 at 2pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12pm-2pm two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
