DENNIS R. BARNES age 74 of Crossville, TN passed away April 12, 2021. He was born December 16, 1946 in Nashville, TN the son of Philip H. and Evelyn Corder Barnes. He was a graduate of John Overton High School in Nashville. He then attended Tennessee Tech University earning his undergraduate degree and received his master's degree from University of Tennessee. He also served our country in the United States Army. After his retirement from TVA, he did adjunct teaching at Columbia State and lastly at Lipscomb University. He was an active member of the Fairfield Glade Lions Club and played with the Friday Gladiator's Golf League in Fairfield Glade. He was a faithful member of Linary Church of Christ where he served as Deacon of Education.

He is survived by his wife of 50 plus years- Carol Barnes of Fairfield Glade, TN, son- Nick Barnes of Decatur, TN, daughter- Laura LaPrad and her husband Louis of Nashville, TN, mother- Evelyn Barnes of Franklin, TN, brothers- John Barnes and his wife Julie of Nashville, TN and Phil Barnes and his wife Wanda of Franklin, TN and his beloved grandchildren- Christian Barnes and Elle LaPrad.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday April 24, 2021 at 1pm at Linary Church of Christ. The family will receive friends on the Saturday April 24, 2021 from 11am-1pm prior to the service at the church.
