DAVID MICHAEL SHANNON age 73 of Crossville, TN passed away February 24, 2020. He was born September 8, 1946 in Canton, IL the son of Orville and Elizabeth Cooney Shannon. David was a United States Army veteran having served our country in Vietnam. After his military service, he worked as a county deputy in Illinois and later  for the US Government as a Federal Agent until his retirement. He was also a 20 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Illinois.

He is survived by his wife- Deborah Shannon of Crossville, TN, son- Chad Shannon and his wife Erica of Ashland, IL, daughters- Meta Jo Floyd of Lynchfield, IL and Kathleen Shannon of Wichita, KS, stepsons- Lynn Kerley and his wife Kristie of Crossville, TN and Spencer Welch of Crossville, TN, stepdaughter- Dena Clark and her husband Jim of Knoxville, TN, five grandsons and one granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- John Shannon and special uncle- Gene Cooney.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 29, 2020 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am-1pm at Hood Funeral Home.
