Obituary

It is with great sorrow that the two families of Curtis John Bjork announce his passing on January 4, 2021. Curt was 93 at the time and died from natural causes. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ann J. Alore (Allaire) Mitchell Christiaansen Bjork and her three children, Julia Mitchell, Dan Christiannsen and Jon (Jean) Christiaansen, along with her two grandchildren, Brent and Bryce. Curt was generous and took pride in caring and providing for his family. He loved traveling and spent much of his time in northern Wisconsin and Florida. He was a Green Bay Packer fan all his life, not surprising since his dad played with the Packers before they were franchised. Curt Bjork's first family included his wife Anne Marie Lachacz Bjork (who predeceased him), their daughters, Carol Ann and Mary Jean; their grandchildren, Peter, Marty, Brian, Megan and Devin, plus their great-grandchildren: Kyle, Mandy, Simon, Noah, Aiden, Brandon and Joe. Curt's parents were Simon John Eric Bjork and Marie Cecelia Reinhard Bjork from the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. He had one sister, Rita Bjork (Francis) Dirksmeyer. Both his sister and parents predeceased him. Curt served in the Navy in WW 2 and in the Coast Guard. After retirement from Eaton Corp. he reenlisted in the Navy and served another ten years. Curt lived singing and had an excellent tenor voice, joining barbershop quartets and church choirs. His girls remember many a time he sang or hummed to a tune they were playing on the piano. He loved baseball and played in leagues and worked as a professional umpire. Curt enjoyed golf, in company leagues and with friends. He received an electrical engineering degree form Marquette University in Milwaukee, worked for Cutler Hammer for decades and then continued with Eaton Corp as Quality Control Director, internationally inspecting the various holdings until retirement. He had a real estate license and "flipped" homes for years, long before that word entered the American language. Curt was always working, always at two jobs. He was a master of organization and accomplishment. He will be missed.
