CHARLES J. GRISMORE, 93 of Crossville, TN passed away December 3, 2023. He was born August 21,
1930 in Indianapolis, son of the late Merle and Beatrice Drew Grismore. Charlie retired from Case IH
after 37 years. He also served in the U.S. Naval Reserve during those 37 years, retiring as a Senior Chief
Petty Officer. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus Council
8152, and Assembly 2162 of Crossville.
He is survived by daughter, Elaine Sparks of Titusville, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Beth
Grismore, of Sevierville, TN; son-in-law, Earl Peters; granddaughters, Elizabeth Sparks and Carly
Grismore; and great-grandchildren, Dakota and Wyatt Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora J Grismore; daughter, Catherine Peters ; son, Bruce M.
Grismore; and grandson, Paul Sparks.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday December 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday December 12 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the cemetery chapel one-half hour prior to the graveside service.
